Fabric(a) project (2019-2021) funded by Free University of Bozen-Bolzano aims at exploring possibilities of merging textile crafting techniques with digital technologies to generate new forms of fabrics and new making processes, tools and methods. It is a practice-based design research project that continuously generates hands-on experiments and as a result, it gathers the results in this platform allowing others to speculate, play and make their own fabrics. It transforms the tacit knowledge of crafting and coding into recipes of new textile making processes.
