WORKSHOP conducted by Seçil Uğur Yavuz, at Museu de Lanifícios — Wool Museum, Covilha, Portugal.
This workshop aims at exploring tactile and visual properties of wool as a material by connecting it with sounds coming from its own origin. During the workshop, the participants start from already existing digital sound files from the archive of the wool museum. They create pieces of fabric that represent the sound through tactile and visual sensorial experience. Thanks to the use of conductive yarns, these pieces work as touch sensors to activate the digital sound files through an interactive experience.
