PROTOTYPE developed by Seçil Uğur Yavuz and Maria Menendez-Blanco, at Interactive Experiences, CHItaly21.
The carpet was embedded with four textile buttons that are connected to Makey Makey controlling the avatar in Gathertown platform. The interactive carpet was used during the hybrid CHItaly conference in order to let conference attendees walk through the virtual space at Gathertown and interact with virtual participants without a computer keyboard, but simply stepping on the buttons in the carpet.
